This year the Turn End Trust is launching a new programme of events in Turn End gardens.
The Trust (Charity No. 1072771) was set up to promote the conservation of the properties and garden as evolving or living entities, the advancement of education and scholarship in the art of building and garden design, and the promotion of public knowledge and understanding of architecture, planning, landscape architecture and allied subjects.
With these aims in mind, this year we are launching a programme of events that include:
- guided seasonal walks;
- art and crafts workshops;
- practical gardening workshops;
- and open garden days.
In addition, we continue to arrange bookings for private group visits.
This year our events focus mostly on the garden. In 2015 we plan to expand this programme, and to mark the 50th anniversary of the completion of Turn End by Peter Aldington, to also include events relating to the house. As a part of the celebrations, we will also be launching a Friends Scheme, which we will be publicising in due course.
You can find details about this year’s events and a booking form in the attachment below. Booking for all events opens on April 10th 2014. If you have any enquiries about forthcoming events or the plans of the Trust, please email us at turnendtrustevents@gmail.com.
We look forward to welcoming you to Turn End.
